Step 1: Fabric and Cutting

Only white 100% Polyester fabric is used for sublimated uniforms. The white fabric is stacked in layers to equal the desired number of pieces in the order. Patterns are traced onto the fabric. The fabric is maneuvered around a table mounted electric blade that cuts out the pattern.

Step 2: Dye Sublimation Process

The dye sublimation process begins by applying heat-sensitive dyes to large heat transfers. This creates highly detailed graphics, text and numbers on special transfer paper. The transfer paper is placed on the pre-cut fabric pattern and both are placed into a heat press. After the heat cycle is completed the image from the paper ttransfers onto the fabric, actually producing the image into the fabric.

Step 3: Construction of the Uniform

The transfer papers are removed and construction of the uniform begins. First collars and trim are attached. The pieces are assembled with surged seams, elastic waist bands added, drawstring ties attached, size and fabric content labels sewn in. Decorative top stitching completes the product.

Step 4: Packaging & Shipping

The garments are folded around cardboard, placed in plastic bags and size/number tags are placed on the bags. Your uniforms are then packed for the trip overseas. Once the packing is completed they are processed for an express international shipping service or standard air cargo service (depending on the size and timing of the shipment).

Did you Know?

By running your fingers over a sublimated garment you can actually feel the difference between traditional screen printing and sublimation. Sublimated garments are smooth to the touch. In contrast, screen printing covers the fabric surface with ink creating a rough to-the-touch surface. Additionally, screen printing makes it nearly impossible for air or moisture to pass through the screened area, rendering useless any moisture wicking features of the fabric.
